Expert committee. Architecture and Sustainability: Outstanding Qualities:

«The scientific committee emphasizes the «resource conscious, use of bio-based materials, spatial concept includes flexibility and focusses on shared spaces, students were involved in design, construction and how manage the building», and the following aspects from the report provided by the architects: « The construction can be deconstructed more easily than a single-variety construction. Wood binds large amounts of CO2 and, as a renewable building material, is a raw material of the future. The CA is an energy-plus building that can be operated in a climate-neutral and grid-positive manner thanks to the large 140 kWh PV system on the roof and battery storage. As a timber building with high recycling potential and CO2 savings, the building's construction is also practically climate neutral. »
