PROJECT GARNOCEX: Experiences in Construction and Demolition Waste Management in Extremadura
The management of construction and demolition waste from the perspective of the SDGs and the sustainable use of resources makes it advisable to study the best conditions for the use of these products, so that their characteristics, as well as the treatment necessary for their use, collaborate in the definition of units with the highest possible added value. The particular features of the construction industry in Extremadura, arising both from depopulation and the geographical dispersion of the population, which are differentiating factors in the amount of waste and in the distances it has to be transported, has led to the alliance of the regional government, the College of Technical Engineers of Public Works and Civil Engineers and the University of Extremadura have joined forces with several CDW management companies to define applications of these materials technically and
